New to Yoga

What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient system of health and well-being. The word yoga literally means “union”. Yoga connects mind, body and spirit using the breath to create an ultimate union with ourselves and the world around us. Yoga is a path to radiant health, and reveals how to live vibrantly from within.

Is yoga for me?
Yoga is for everyone! Classes range from slow, gentle and restorative to vigorous, physically challenging and transformative. At any level the benefits are numerous.

What are some benefits of yoga?

What do I need and how do I prepare for class?
• wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
• do not eat for at least 2-3 hours before class
• bring a sticky mat (locations provide extra mats, however it is recommended to purchase your own)
• inform instructor before class of pregnancy, injuries or any other special needs. This is the only way the instructor will know to give proper modifications and adjustments
